Hi! My name is Devin Bjelland. I specialize in test prep for the SAT and ACT and helping student with AP Calculus.

In high school, I worked for Conroe ISD as a peer tutor, where I helped high school students of all ages grasp mathematical concepts ranging from completing the square in Algebra I in to solving for radii of convergence in AP Calculus.

I’ve always enjoyed helping my friends with their homework, but tutoring is where my passion for helping others learn really flourishes. My goal as a tutor consists of helping the student grasp the underlying concept and see the patterns as opposed to simply reaching the solution. After all, tutoring is only productive when the lesson is applicable to all other questions requiring the same process.

I’m a College Park graduate and current student in Sam Houston State University (majoring in math). I took 11 AP tests and scored a 1540 on my SAT.

When I’m not tutoring or studying, I’m usually playing chess. My favorite opening is the Alekhine’s Defense! I also like to ski!
