If you’re in the class of 2026, this will all be old news by the time you get there. You’ll be able to choose between the paper ACT and the Digital Adaptive SAT.

If you’re in the class of 2025, you’re right in the middle of the switch in formats.  You have choices!  Check out our decision tool to help you think about whether you want to take the ACT only and avoid the whole SAT switcherooni, take the Paper SAT starting in August 2023 in an effort to be finished by December 2023, or hold off on testing until Spring 2024 and take the Digital Adaptive SAT.
