Maggie Messer

Hi there! My name is Maggie Messer. I recently graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2024 Summa Cum Laude and with University Honors. In high school, I graduated Summa Cum Laude and dual-enrolled at the University of West Florida for the entirety of my senior year. The first time I took the ACT I received a 32 with perfect scores in Reading and English. I was a recipient of the Bright Futures Florida Academic Scholarship, the AWKO Justice Scholarship and championed the state Optimist Oratorical Competition in Florida.

I have been surrounded by teachers my whole life, as my mother and three of my older siblings all worked as teachers during my childhood. I found a great love and respect for teaching, and worked as a teaching assistant for A.P. U.S. Government and A.P Comparative Government while in high school. In college, I worked as a Team Leader for the Burnett Honors College, where I taught the Honors Symposium course and helped freshman and sophomores with their intro-level courses.

When I’m not tutoring, I’m an animator and writer. I have a passion for board games, gothic literature, and animation of all types. I have a big, tight-knit family with five siblings and four nephews and nieces, and adore each and every one of them. Finally, I’m an animal lover and while I don’t have any pets at the moment, I supplement it with lots of hours collecting Pokémon.
